Ubuntu: I am, because you are
Welcome to where compassion, care, and community converge to create a nurturing haven for children living with disabilities and their community.
Over the years, Kwa-Thema Stimulation Center transitioned to Ubuntu Inclusive Center to account for the expansion of our scope; meeting not only educational outcomes, but health, and social and economic development outcomes. This name reflects our continued commitment to providing comprehensive support for children with profound disabilities while embracing the spirit of Ubuntu – the belief that we are all connected in our shared humanity.
It is a holistic hub for children living with moderate to severe intellectual and physical disabilities and their communities. This hub includes providing stimulation services for children living with profound disabilities, training Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners, digitally upskilling community members, and providing quality healthcare services at an affordable price point.
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to fostering inclusivity, holistic development, and the well-being of children with disabilities, while also empowering dedicated professionals and community members through comprehensive training.
Based in Springs, South Africa, and Washington DC, United States, our holistic approach intertwines education, training, and healthcare. This approach enables us to uplift and empower both the children and the dedicated practitioners who guide them on their unique journeys.
Join us in embracing diversity, championing ability, and shaping a brighter future for all.
“Umntu, ngumtu ngabantu. Motho ke motho, ka batho. I am because you are.”
